Advantis Conseils is looking for a Technical Support Specialist in Türkiye for a leading German group company that has been developing high-quality and environmentally friendly chemicals intended for the cutting-edge polyurethane industriessuch as footwear, leather goods and automobile (adhesives, foams, mold release agents, finishing products, etc.).

Job description

The Technical Support Specialist will be mainly in charge of the products intended for the footwear industry. The position requires excellent language skills in Turkish and English as well as technical experience in the footwear industry and in the field of polyurethane chemicals.

The Technical Support Specialist, based in Türkiye, will work remotely in continuous collaboration with local and international sales teams and report directly to the European headquarters.

He/she will provide high quality tailored technical assistance and services on the field to existing users and potential customers regarding the polyurethane based footwear solutions of the company.

He/she will ensure that the products are correctly used and emphasize the technical advantages of the products and consequently contribute to the expansion of sales and brand awareness in Türkiye.

Main missions

• Understand industrial customers needs and provide them the right technical support and suitable technical solutions on the field
• Test, supervise and optimize demolding operations in polyurethane injection processes
• Ensure product quality and compliance with technical requirements
• Collaborate with local and international sales teams to develop the brand in the Turkish market
• Participate in prospecting new customers and secure customer portfolio in Türkiye
• Ensure long-term customer relationships and customer loyalty by responding to customers’ needs, demands and complaints with appropriate offers at the right time

Qualifications required

• Solid technical knowledge about polyurethane, release agents for polyurethane foam and polyurethane injection
• Experience in the manufacturing of shoes and polyurethane shoes soles
• Engineering degree is optional, but minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position is required
• Good knowledge of shoe manufacturing processes and market players
• Experienced in field customer management: technical support by conducting regular customer/field visits
• Strong technical mind, capable of communicating with all technical teams from different levels
• Fluency in English and Turkish (oral and written) – professional level
• Experienced in reporting to foreign managers and colleagues
• Business Development mindset, commercial and marketing skills are additional assets
• Excellent communication capacity
• Proactive and enthusiastic, resourceful, loves to work actively in the field
• Autonomous, honest and has high work ethics
• Follows the market, competition and innovations in the sector
• No travel restrictions, Class B driver's license and able to actively drive
• Preferably residing in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir or Konya
• Good use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Ppt, Outlook)
