Advantis Conseils is looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the new Turkish subsidiary of a leading French company active in the beauty sector. The position requires perfect bilingual level in Turkish and English languages.


 

Job description


The Chief Financial Officer will be mainly responsible of:


  • Managing the financial forecasting and budgeting processes of the subsidiary, and reporting to the subsidiary’s general manager and to the HQ in France
  • Overseeing and managing all accounting, tax, treasury operations and team management 
  • Establishing, managing, developing the company's information management system (ERP) at the market level in the brand's office in Turkey and creating all necessary system connections inside and outside the organization


The position requires cross-functional collaboration with the sales team.



Key missions


Information management system, with the help of the Central IT Team 


  • Find the appropriate third party for system implementation.
  • Design and adjust business processes
  • Implement the system with the support of internal functional teams and external consultants, and regularly monitor the operation of the system


Accounting and reporting to the group


In close relation with the local external chartered accounting experts and the international finance division


  • Supervise all accounting functions
  • Design and supervise all accounting procedures and processes
  • Ensure that accounting and reporting are in accordance with local requirements and IFRS standards, prepared and submitted on time.
  • Supervise communication with external and internal auditors
  • Participate and provide support to the business and management team
  • Follow the company's tax declarations in accordance with local tax legislation and follow regulatory changes
  • Manage monthly closing with report to the group (P&L / BS & CF), organize the accounting to be able to report to the Group: implement analytical accounting with the help of the central team / implement global IT reporting tools 


Financial Analysis and commercial relations


  • Responsible for market financial management in budgeting, forecasting and analyzing business performance results.
  • Improve all marketing investment analysis to measure and improve the effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of marketing activities.
  • Manage/lead communication within a cross-functional team to create corporate level forecasts in terms of sales, margin, marketing budget etc.


Budget management


  • Analyze the differences between budgets and suggest corrective/improving actions.
  • Management control 
  • Responsible to approve all expenses as disclosed in the budget/reforecasts, to manage P&L in order to reach financial performance as disclosed in the budget 
  • Management of FX issues (EUR LR) and local inflation issues 


Logistic management


  • Negotiate logistics contracts and ensure their proper implementation
  • Provide relevant audits and controls.



Required skills and expertise


  • Graduated from Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Banking or Finance 
  • 10 years of experience in budget management control and finance 
  • Experience in similar sector would be a plus (medical devices, esthetic or with doctors) at an equivalent management position level
  • Ideal candidate has equivalent experience in a medium-sized company that had to transform following a buyout by a Group or a financial shareholder
  • Experience with ERP implementation and coordination is a must
  • Proficient in budget planning, balance sheet, financial statement analysis and financial management reporting processes
  • Proficient in current professional legislation
  • Proficient in exchange rate, treasury and derivative transactions
  • Able to manage exchange rate risks & experienced in inflation accounting
  • Leadership, communication and coordination skills
  • High sense of responsibility, organized, careful and result-oriented in business follow-up
  • Excellent command of both Turkish and English languages at professional level
  • Experience in an international organization would be a plus
  • French language would be a plus
  • Preferably, residing on the European side
